Did they look like the photo? Do the flanges that connect to the section 1 look like they bolt up properly? Thanks for updating us!Originally posted by lvm3sm46 View PostSo I received them and they were not 63.5 they were 53.5 and the guy that told me they were 63.5 no longer works there. So they are going back this week. They are sending a return shipping label. I will say they looked phenomenal though and that catted section too. If I wasn't selling the car I would definitely keep them for the price.Garage:

Do they look like a hybrid between shorty and long tube to you? If they looked like the non stepped supersprint I would give them a chance since schmiendman emailed me that they are made in Italy (grain of salt because the employee might not work there anymore either lol).Originally posted by Pklauser View PostNow we just need someone to actually run them and see if they fall apart 😅Garage:

Reviving an old thread. Has anyone tried these? I've been thinking about switching the megan (euro design) I currently have for a long tube design for better sound.Garage:

I dunno if I would do that, not sure how close the Megan's sound to genuine euro headers though.Originally posted by Circa Surviven View PostReviving an old thread. Has anyone tried these? When I had euro headers>cats>OE sec. 2>SCZA I really liked the sound, not too loud but quite sporty, especially up top.
I then spent a million dollars so I could have the "best", got SSV1'S>catted Sec. 1>Dual Res. Sec 2.
I cant say I really noticed a power difference, especially since I just drive around town, but the sound had no more character and was much tamer/quieter.
Some would like, especially with a CSL airbox, but the euro stuff still didn't interfere with that induction sound.
Mainly I am just ranting about how I had a great setup, only payed $1100 for headers/cats, then sold that shit, spent stupid money and got a worse sound.2004 Silbergrau Metallic 6MT

If these are copies of SS non-stepped headers, then yes it should sound better. If SS V1 copies, then no.Originally posted by Circa Surviven View PostReviving an old thread. Has anyone tried these? I appreciate the feedback! Your right, I need to just stick with the budget Megan headers. I really would like the do a CSL airbox but can't afford it, so I keep going back to the headers as a way to fulfill the "tinkering/modification" gremlin.Originally posted by Cubieman View Post

I REALLY wish I would have saved the $ I spent on the supersprint stuff, that was a lot that could have gone to other better (for me) mods, or simply maintaining the car as parts prices have gone up so much.
imo unless you really care about having every last HP and can use it on the track etc. Euro style headers are just perfect for this car, especially the euro headers/cats.
BMW got it right from the factory on the Euro cats exhaust setup, maybe a more sporty muffler is all it needs for me anyway.
A set of SS headers is a good chunk of the cost of a CSL box these days as well, something to consider.2004 Silbergrau Metallic 6MT
