Got mine today, looks good! I'll lay them out to relax the rippling, I'm not going to do this job for a while.

maybe a hairdryer or direct sunlight will help with the rippling?

Got mine, same rippling effect, likely due to being stored balled up, all in all pretty badass to have something that looks like the real deal.

That's what mine looks like. I've dabbled in different brands--Griot's, Pinnacle. I went through this expensive detailing products phase but end up back at the basics. Any decent brand is probably fine--the chemistry is likely all similar. I think clay is where one could spend money, and actual coatings; but the spray stuff, likely all similar.Originally posted by WOLFN8TR View PostGood info what brand do you recommend?
Here's some photos of my Brand New lower trim pieces. It almost looks like they need to be wet sanded and then coated. For $35 each I will try to “clean” them up a bit before using them. Glad they weren't the ones for $125 each!
EDIT: I hit the part with various mild-medium cut polishes/swirl removers using an orange foam pad (light cut) and it cleaned up the residual mold release/residue. But the faint "lines" won't go away so I may hit it with 0000 steel wool and a quick detailer/clay lube. The vendor I purchased from just refunded me the money so I can use this an experiment of sorts.Last edited by PSUEng; 06-21-2023, 06:03 PM.

Meguiars Ceramic Detailer, Turtle Wax Ceramic or Graphene, Mothers, etc. Doesn't need to be anything exotic in my experience. 303 every now and again is fine to.Originally posted by WOLFN8TR View PostGood info what brand do you recommend?
