I believe it was an option or came on the ZCP M3's, but yes i do believe it was available for M3's. The standard trim was matte. This was standard option on ZHP coupes i think.Originally posted by 05ZCP View PostHello,
Long time listener, first time caller. Related to this discussion, I wanted to see if there's any knowledge about the weatherstrip that runs along the outside of the door. On RealOEM, it appears there are two separate options - matte and gloss.
Google search told me that all M3's were equipped with the matte trim for this piece, and the existing piece on my car looks matte, but wanted to make sure (it may have been gloss when it was new and now is matte due to age - I am not the first owner). Did M3's also get equipped with gloss trim?
For reference, here are the parts I'm looking at:
Gloss: 51327890453
Matte: 51328227625
Any wisdom would be appreciated!

Okay so I finally got the chance to order Matt’s bottom pieces and looking at them side by side with the OEM Pass. Side I have, it’s def not an exact 1:1 OE replacement. First thing I noticed is how floppy Matt’s are in comparison with the BMW one. This is due to the fact that BMW used rubber fused onto hard plastic piece where as Matt’s are full rubber(or at least rubber on soft plastic, but it seems like a single molded piece) (pic #4). BMW’s is also more matte, but that could just be some sort of coating the added for storage? There’s also a lip(?) that doesn’t go the full length on Matt’s(pic #5).Originally posted by dHam_Slow.46M View Post
I'll also post some pics with some comparison with the OEM pass/right side I have sitting on the shelf.
Also, anyone know if there's still a discount code? The original NAM3 doesn't seem to work anymore
I guess since Driver/Left side is NLA, beggars can’t be choosers🤷🏽♂️
Pics to be posted later today.

Hi everyone,
In addition to my previous post, I noticed there is some extra rubber protruding that is not present in the OEM part.
Is this the same on yours?
Thank you,
Alex

I had this same experience/observation. Nice note on heating the seal/Swissvax, I'll try that when/if I do the other side.Originally posted by Alx007 View PostThank you all for your advice on this thread.
It has been very helpful.
I ordered the seals from Matthew Navis and only did one side.
The seal feels thicker (and hopefully more robust).
I just feel that the motor struggles a bit when closing the window now.
It will hopefully settle...
UPDATE:
I heated the new seal with a hairdryer and applied some Swissvax "Seal Feed" and it helped the window opening/closing.

That's ok since it's too late don't bother yourself about it. There is NO “code” as per se but you can email him and if he wants he will give you a code. I tried and he was kind enough to hook me up with a code.Originally posted by Flow View PostOh damn, there is a code ?
I've ordered all the seals at full retail price

This is good to know he's providing these. I'd love to see pics of a set if anyone orders them because, as I mentioned, my Gen. parts were a let down.
Damn, his quarter seals went through the roof in price.
Also, anyone know if there's still a discount code? The original NAM3 doesn't seem to work anymore
