Thanks! I had installed the CMP underside reinforcement plates couple of times in the past but it’s the first time I install the CMP front & rear topside reinforcement and WOW I like those parts! Very well made!

There will be more pics tomorrow than more friday.

Weld the underside CMP reinforcement plates and weld a crack and pop spot weld under rear seat. Also weld rear legs / « frame rail » in the trunk

Installed/welded the CMP topside reinforcements. Also did make custom sheet metal plates to hide the gap between the rear CMP topside reinforcement and trunk floor cause mine was previously destroyed cause of the failire and also due to previous guy who tried to « repair » /or hide the crack with welding and body filler…

Yeah thanks, it’s a 2001 Laguna Seca/Black 6mt from factory, HEA package with 129000km/80000miles so it was worth saving it. I swapped the Black interior for a factory M-Texture and going to have CSL front bumper, trunk & diffuser made in full Carbon Fiber on it soon!!!

I paid the car for the price of an engine, not sure I would put all those efforts if the car would of been a less desirable color, SMG and twice the mileage. Would probably just part out the car or use it to do a complete swap into a E46 Touring

First time of my life that I buy/apply Bondo plastic filler. Usually I just sell the car when it needs bodywork or paint job LOL

Doing it only the OCD in me cause nobody is never going to see this part of the car nor the welds that are now covered with sealer …

Still some sanding and probably another layer or 2 of Bondo and it will be ready to put primer & base coat. Now I am going to apply sealer underside the RACP.

Need 2-3 more coats of filler primer and it should be good!

I also did applied the sealer on the underside. Tomorrow I will shoot some gravel guard on the underside and rear wheel wells and try to match the factory texture…

Finally shoot some Smurf base coat today inside the cabin! Also shoot gravel guard in wheel wells and underside. I also shoot another thin layer of fill primer on top of the gravel guard coating. Ready to shoot LSB base coat in wheel wells and SEM EZ coat 62253 underside for a factory look!

And how it look with the wheel wells and underside painted. I will shoot a matte clear in the wheel wells and inside the cabin and this little DIY job is done!
