I recently re-used mine. Torqued to spec, sans the angle. So far so good. I do have a fresh set for use after I do some exhaust and front end work, as I won't (shouldn't) be back in there again for a while.

If you replace them I'd suggest getting them at FCP since they have a lifetime warranty, and you'll never have to buy them again the next time you need to remove the reinforcement plate.

You won't snap them if you reuse them and they were torqued correctly previously (and a lot of people do). However, BMW does specify to replace them after every use.

    Reinforcement Plate Bolts Question

I believe that last time I removed the reinforcement plate to do the rod bearings I had to change the bolts as they were one time use only. Is this correct?

I have a slight leak that I cant figure out where its coming from and will probably need to remove it. Want to make sure I dont snap any of them if I reuse them as I think the torque spec on them was pretty high.

    Thanks!
