    What trans fluid?

Tbonem3 Started the engine oil discussion. How about trans fluid? What are you running?

P.S. I just ordered MTF-LT-2 from FCP which was branded Pentosin on the website, but I got sent BMW Group MTF-LT-2. Manufacture date on the bottle reads 25.06.2019.

At what interval is everyone doing it, 30k, 50k, etc?
I have Pentosin mtf lt2 GL4 in at the moment.

LOL wat. Lucky you. Kinda effed that they're charging $43/liter tho :/ this ain't no gold nanoparticle FM boosted diff fluid caman

I'm also running BMW MTF-LT2 75W80. Bought 10 liters of it from Kaiv for $120 a year or two ago, so it should probably last the life of the trans at this point

Experimented with different brands quite a bit so really short intervals personally, but I'd say 30-60k depending on several factors, for a street car. If it's barely driven, maybe there's a time frame rather than mileage

literally every thread needs to be clear if it's a race car or street too.

The nice thing about using the obc for fluid change intervals is that it changes based on how hard the car is driven.

My 2 cents, OP I am also running the same MTF-LT-2 Transmission Fluid (MFG part 83-22-2-339-219. I bought mine from ECS tuning.

I replaced mine 2k miles ago and did it as part of the Inspection 2 maintenance list. Have had no issues so far. Driven as a street/ weekend car for all its life.

Only had MT90 as the time but so far trans is fine after a whopping 150 miles. Shifts are solid. I drive and SMG so I can't feel it through a shifter or clutch pedal sadly but it's ok. I worry less about my synchros with an SMG and more about the clutch itself.
