I’m sick of these homage cars. Does BMW even Motorsport any longer? They’ve been so busy building soccer mom cars lately.

You buy cars to collect and not put mileage on nowadays. Get with the program Jae

The original CSL Hommage from a few years ago was beatifully designed. Porsche can get 500 hp from a 9k revving NA motor with a car weighing less than 3200 lbs. BMW’s weight loss is at 3600 lbs😏

This is a marketing exercise. Take off all the extra badges and that hideous rabbit tooth grill and there’s your 400 lbs right there. Car just seems bigger and more gaudy (“imposing” in marketing terms) than it needs to be. Oh well, AMG all but died when MB took it over too, so there you go.

The king is dead. Long live the king. I guess it’s a “had to be there when” thing…

                  maw

BMW doesn't even race any longer. Well…except to the soccer game and to school.

Sorry to rant but this just sums up the wrong direction BMW is going. Let me just say this…I’ve seen one G8X on track here in TX, it’s been out almost 2 years. That’s not a good thing.

But every G8X probably has ceramic coating, PPF, races mustangs on the highway, and a ham-fisted owner behind the wheel.

Are they factory teams? Or are those teams running factory cars? And how many teams? I think there are more Lambos and Aston Martins in IMSA than BMWs.
