I just dropped the oil pan and was very surprised to see M10 bolts. My car is a 2002 with an October 2001 build date. I was certain I would have the M11s and be reusing them. Now I’m needing a new set of bolts.

Has anyone heard of cars with build dates as early as October 2001 having the updated m10 bolts?

Check the last 4 digits of the engine number and see if it lines up with the early S54 engine number sequencing.

Mines a Feb 2002 with a November 01 build date and the engine number is the 2700 range
