DIY: Headlight cover strips

When simple things aren't. I ordered cover strips for my 06 headlights. Looked up in Realoem, results below. Covers are way off, the connectors don't match up at all.

Original top, replacements below. Anyone run into before? TIA.

Might be for a facelift coupe headlight that came on the non-Ms.

The M3 has the same headlight as the pre-LCI coupes (pre 09/03…I think).

I bought some less than a year ago and they were exactly the same size and correct. Purchased from FCP. These were Genuine BMW (don’t think anyone else makes these aftermarket).

These are wrong part #s. These are post facelift coupes, never used on E46 M3.

So was RealOEM wrong? Or did I not read correctly? I thought "superceded" meant that's the new part number.

the .489 Left/ .490 Right are the same ones I got and were correct fit.
OP if you got different shape maybe it was a packing mislabeling. Have had that happen from BMW on parts before.

It looks like OP ordered 63126934751 which is the standard 3-series facelift part.
