    G82 seats in the M3?

Can anyone confirm if the G82 front seats would bolt into the M3 factory bolts?
wiring diagram that I can use to wire them as well?

    pic for attention

How much do these seats weight?

Normally, factory seats weight a ton.

I don't believe they fit directly because I know they fit into F8x cars but the F8x seats don't fit into the E46 without modifications.

here is a thread of M4 seats going into an E46, pretty sure it would be similar.

edited for complete album in post TL;DR - Seats are mounted to custom rails only on one side (factory holes line up on the inboard side). Seats are full power and work correctly all the time (no heat as my car doesn’t have that option so I skipped it). No headroom issues, they sit about as low as the factory seats. No real

OEM seats are just about as heavy but the advantage of being very high quality and are often priced better than an aftermarket fixed back or 2 piece seat when buying used. If the G series does in fact have the same pattern and is as narrow as the F series seats, they you would need to make an adaptor mount for the outside bolts, 'trick' the electronics box to power up the seats temporarily and you 'should' be good to go from there. I got my M4 seats for a good price at the time and they match almost perfectly to the rest of the interior and I even have the seat badge working!

Had a look through that thread and It was interesting. I was thinking of maybe trying a set of F30/F32 M sport seats in my 02 and kind of a OEM style replacement/upgrade. Imagine it's identical to this thread. Although I wonder if it would be easier to bypass the seat controller? It was mentioned in another forum but no resolution to the question. It made sense to just run a simple 12 volt to the switches, then just have them control the motors.

I'm by no means an expert so I might be way off on my understanding, but that essentially how the E46 seats operate isn't it?

TBH it's a lot of money to look out of place in an E46.

            Better off getting actual Recaros.

              Agree.

One thing I was contemplating for my e46 touring are Z4 seats as they are almost CSL/Recaro shaped.

Evo X Recaros in my car. Pretty much any other seat will require some kind of bracket to make work.
