I will have to check on my V2 now that I have a good amount of miles on it, but we did not change the design of the pins/mounting of them. But we did change the bonding adhisive for them to address this issue.

EDIT: I've already contacted TURNER about a replacement due to the cabin air filter fitment, they were very helpful and receptive, will be getting a V2 once the are available. Yesterday when I was doing a bit of detail on the engine bay I decided to take the bell off to check it over and to my surprise it was very loose. So initially thought the little tabs have slipped off, but no they are gone. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I hope this is addressed in the V2.

Has anyone done a sound comparison between this box and the Karbonius/Evolve boxes to see if there is a significant difference in intake noise? I would imagine they're all around the same.

Mine is the second batch with the new packing material but I think it’s version one of the box.
it seems like the turner box might be bigger than the others, they definitely used all the room that’s there. Sure looks and sounds bad ass
Did you notice if there was a dip towards the back of the box that goes under the rain tray when installing? That would indicate V1 or V2

You can bet they are getting these made in Tawain, like other ECS cf products. That alone doesn't mean they're terrible. But often doesn't help instill spec confidence.
So issues so far are: Port breaks off, not just shipping. Clearance issue on the fresh air intake box/firewall. Slightly tall that it doesn't clear stock strut bar. If the first two issues have been redesigned and fixed the strut bar clearance can probably be fixed easily. Shims, or another brand bar. Another might be the Rogue Engineering replica Group N motor mount. These list actually lowering the engine 5mm from stock (granted existing mounts haven't dropped). I have genuine BMW Motorsport Group N motor mounts, they are a bit firmer, not sure how firm the the RE replicas are. But these really limit the engine rocking on torque and if your engine moves now it might be rubbing even more when throttle applied with stock mounts.
I wonder if the clearance issues are tolerance, or rather, manufacturing variation. Karbonius and even Streamline users don't seem to have fitting issues, and some TMS boxes have been fine. maybe a side by side comparison is the only way to confirm this. I have a Karb in my Z4 and I have tons of space between the strut brace to the box.

I was surprised at how well it ran without a tune, of course I just drove it mellow to get it to the shop. I’m really excited to see what it does on the dyno.
Did you modify the bracket under the airbox using the method in Turner's PDF instructions?

Nice! Bummer about the rubbing though, is this the v1 or v2 box?

I got my SMG conversion done there. I plan on asking him about the Turner airbox when I go to get my rod bearings done next month.
Oh, I know George. Didn't even think about it. I also owe him one Thanks.
