    Show your garage!

Renovating my garage with new toolboxes, drywalling, and higher electrical capacity. Sometimes you don't know what you need until you see it. So, lets see some of your garages!

I can hear the big dogs cleaning up their spills and organizing their spaces as I type this.

I would show mine, but it's a 1-car garage, probably smaller than heinzboehmer so nothing to see here.

WestBankM4 that's no excuse!! Check this out:

This is a long thread. I won't try and stop anyone from reading all of it. But for a more-concise tour of the place, it'll only take you 10 minutes to go through this video: And here are some recent pictures. If you go through the thread from the beginning, you'll be able to see the...

Still one of my favorites. Amazing forethought went into this space.

Can't wait to see how this thread unfolds.

It'a always interesting to see layouts. I'm part of a facebook group for home gym owners and it's like the complete opposite. Those guys/gals always keep adding to their gym and always try to find excuses to get a car out of the garage.

This is my garage. Pics were taken by real estate agent when I was supposed to sell the house last year but it never happened finally. It doesn’t look like this in reality, I only have car stuff in the garage, kids bikes aren’t allowed in here!!!

It's not much but at least I have one... not that common where I live, if you're on your own.

That’s impressive! Very well thought. I’m not buying $2k total spend, especially if I add thought time. But still, very nice. Seems like the car will live with him forever. Meanwhile I’ll be supporting the economy. Maybe one day a real working garage will make sense for me.

With a garage like yours, I would get a 2-posts lift,
not QuickJacks. I would love to have that space and height!

I’ve worked on my car many times on a two post lift, and I still prefer working on it when it’s on jack stands/Quickjack. Is that weird? Having more space to move around with the lift is nice, but looking up vs laying on back is a lot less comfortable.

With that garage space, you could have a lift or two AND Quickjacks if desired. I’ve seen a ton of people get a four post lift and use quickjacks on it for wheels off work.

I have seen guys raise the lift only a few feet off the floor and lay on their backs to work on lines before. Regardless, jack stands won’t give you the same amount of options that full lifts offer.

I’m just worried about my slab as it was already existing before I put up the garage. Im not too sure if I would have to cut into it and pour footings to support the weight of the lift and car on it
