I thought HTE was predominantly a tuner? I had mine sent to the UK, but to Carphonics, https://www.carphonics.co.uk Reach out to the guy there for the physical DME work.

    Regards

Soldering chips and putting the base CSL software with stock cam profiles on an original working ECU should not cause any issues on a car that was working fine in standard form.
Interesting, I've always leaned towards Hassan and this probably finalizes that decision between Kassel and HTE. Another reason I'm opting this route is because I'm planning on shooting over to Jordan to visit family soon, I want to take a week and visit Lebanon as well. Once I'm there I've been in contact with Hassan, so hoping to meet and get all of the physical stuff completed in person.

I haven't ordered my airbox yet, but I'm just taking it slow, no rush with the engine mods just yet.

Not sure I would personally ship my DME all the way to the UK for this. Surface mount soldering is not the easiest thing to do, but also not something that only a select few can do. If you're decent at through hole stuff, chances are you can do surface mount as well. Any competent electronics shop should be able to do it easily, especially since there's no BGA components to deal with (those are actually a pain to do).

OP, you could also just source the parts yourself and take it to an electronics shop. Just need two EEPROMs, a couple resistors and BDM headers. This thread has the parts list somewhere: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/s...p-csl-h-bridge

After that, you'd need to find a shop that can do the BDM flash to get software onto the new chips. It's possible that some BMW specialty shop near you can do it. Or you could just buy the programmer and do it yourself: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/s...ech-galletto-4

I just bought another ecu already compatible with the CSL tune from a 05/06 and sent it to kassel.no conversion no problems and daily driver too.no issues.

News to me that he does this as well, but it looks like he does in fact do physical conversions per his site. In any case, though, the above would still apply and push me towards kassel or something stateside.

Bid for the chance to own a 2001 BMW M3 Coupe 6-Speed at auction with Bring a Trailer, the home of the best vintage and classic cars online. Lot #95,923.

$47,500 but the surprise was because this is an LSB m3 with clean desirable mods. I thought for sure this would have been $60k plus. This car also had less then 100k miles.

That is why I asked the seller, was curious to know if the mods hurt the car or if it is because the car market. I kinda have to agree with you about the market, I think prices will fall and normalize.

I am starting to see other car prices fall and normalize and it’s only a matter of time before the entire market is normalized.

Yeah, sorry that it didn’t sell for more. I was actually shocked when I saw the final price. Had I known it was going to be that low, I would have placed a bid. I honestly thought that the price would explode upwards in the final seconds of the auction.

You think the mods scared people away?
