    Original MSS54HP DME value?

    Hello all,

Purchased my car a while back. It came with its original DME (MSS54HP) as well as another DME currently installed/tuned for the CSL airbox. Considering I don't need two DMEs, what do you guys reckon the original MSS54HP out of my '06 ZCP is worth? I haven't seen many sell recently. Rogue is selling at $750 (no current inventory from what he told me), is that a realistic price? Is it worth holding onto?

    Cheers.

$750 seems high. I've seen them listed anywhere from $350 to $650. This is mostly from inquiring on part outs or FB marketplace adds.

When I was looking for one, most of the HPs were closer to $600-700. Non-HPs were more like $300-400

I had one, sold it for around 500 last year.

There’s a big difference between a list price that no one pays and the actual sale price.

I think at $500 you’ll actually sell it, list it for a bit more to leave room for negotiation.

Thanks all! Seems like I have a price to work with now. As for keeping it, would it be worth it? I just can’t see I’d have any use for it, but part of me doesn’t want to get rid of my original vin matched DME. Does it matter?

I've got multiple ECUs and TCUs for multiple cars. Always helps to have a spare AFAIC, and that goes for selling the car with spares. You can always sell it so there's no hurry to do that now.
