Hey all, haven’t been on the forums in many years but I thought I’d post this up to get some advice/interaction. I’m likely to be pulling the trigger on a CSL intake for my M3 after almost 5 years of ownership. Pricing on the Karbonius is now actually lower than the TMS intakes which I never expected. I realize there’s a much longer lead time but I understand they are probably higher quality than the TMS intake. I guess I’m looking for some buying advice. Sorry if this has been brought up recently already!

Paid $600 for mine and wouldn't have paid more than $1000 in good condition. I'm glad I didn't. Probably has a $600 manufacturing cost. I would take a Karb all day, funds willing. This is my Unbuild Journal and why we need an oil thread

S70 head (from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QR_SL5KNOW0):
S50B30 head:
Making a double VANOS McLaren F1 with S54 heads would be awesome though, but the 87mm bore might be a problem. Maybe an S50B32 head would work better? Double VANOS and 86.4mm bore.
Would only have to deal with the small problem of having to mirror one of the heads.
Ah if I had the time/money, I would use it to pursue stupid endeavors like this one2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal
