I personally like the DS-3000 endurance pads better than the Porterfiend R4-S pads I had previously, and I’m a Porterfield fan. From Porterfield though, I could have stepped up to the next higher friction compound, which I think would have been the R4-E, but I wanted to try something different in the Ferodo pads. Last thing, don’t be a cheap monkey like me and use a little hand held vacuum pump to bleed the calipers; spring for the big pressurized hand pump bottle that remotely connects to the reservoir cap if you don’t have a helper. Call me crazy, I usually use Motul 550 or 600 but I seem to remember using some Wilwood high temp brake fluid and seem to remember the pedal felt harder with the Motul after using both - placebo or perhaps I did a bad job on bleeding the brakes, maybe…. 🤔
+1 on Zeckhausen https://www.zeckhausen.com/ . He is an amazing resource. I bought my previously mentioned above Stoptech and pads from him. I'm not sure if he is a one-person shop or what, but I spoke to him on the phone and back and forth in email and he was super knowledgable and nice. Not to mention is website has a bunch of great information.

      It’s a one man shop.

I randomly had dinner with him and his wife a couple of years ago. Super nice guy, and absurdly knowledgeable about brakes.

Received an email back from David Zeckhausen, apparently the StopTech AeroRotors are (mostly?) compatible with the Brembo GT brakes, but for the rear 345mm x 28 there is a minor modification required to the hats. Do you guys know what modification the rear hat needs although I'd rather NOT mess around with them as they ran me ~$500 each from Brembo.

He also stated that StopTech was acquired last year by First Brands Group, all of their AeroRotors are on backorder for extended periods of time and the latest ETA is March '23 but apparently has been sliding and will continue to do so.

His suggestion is to reach out to Pat McCleish, he was the former brake engineer at Centric Parts (StopTech's former parent company) but apparently left after First Brands Group acquired them last year. He has his own caliper rebuilding supply company and also carries GIRODISC replacements for StopTech and Brembo big brake kits. His email in case anyone needs is, autobrakesolutions@gmail.com and I may inquire with him regarding the GiroDiscs, hoping there are no modifications needed with that set. They're made in the USA which I like.
