Is there a technique to get this C Clip back on? Rear qtr window

Is it just brute strength? A tool or technique I'm missing?

The diameter of the plastic piece is wider than the opening of the clip. I'm assuming that's by design since that's what locks in in place, but I can't get the damn thing on lol.

Man, it is hard. The clip wouldn't budge using a flathead and a hammer. I'll try with a pair of pliers, the window is still on the car and it's difficult to get an angle. I'm afraid of snapping the plastic again hah.

Ya that's why I suggested (and what worked for me) to squeeze, because you can get a lot of levarge and power as long as you have some decent forearms

Striking it seemed too dangerous to me.

Taking the window off is really easy, though removing the B pillar to get to the window is hard, as that requires removing the panel, which requires removing the seat bench (if you want to do it correctly and not lose/break a plastic clip).

Hammering can break the plastic piece or the glass. Use flat nose pliers which squeeze the c-clip but places no pushing force to break the plastic piece. Open the window wide after disconnect the motor's ball joint.
