Another plug for HTE. Very helpful. Very responsive. I know folks personally who went that route and are very happy. I will be dyno tuning with them at the end of the month.

I'm looking at HTE myself, but I won't be able to dyno tune. Glad to see the validation in this forum.

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking of adding a wideband. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I came across some awesome custom gauges from kokgo20. Hopefully he still makes them. Sent a pm for more info.

HTE or PCS remote tune, can't go wrong with either.

Do you know if he offers a base off-the shelf tune? I won't be able to dyno tune the car in the near future (not readily available where I live).

Paul (Claude) is a great guy to deal with and specializes in the s54.

    Highly recommend

Same question -- Does he only offer dyno tuned options?

Has anyone had success with any of HTE's canned tunes? Thanks

I have not purchased a tune from anyone but I’d just like to point out that if you think all these tuners aren’t just copying each other you’re kidding yourself.

Hassan and Paul Claude contributed a fair amount on M3F.

I’d also point out that there is little to gain from fuel and spark. IMO you should really only be tuning to maximize air charge via cam timing and properly estimate it via alpha N or MAP for systems that use it, less need for MAF. There is very little discussion of these specifics on this forum and I think it warrants more talk since a lot of people seem to have distorted ideas about where the gains come from with a tune.

I don't think there are any worthwhile off the shelf / plug and play tunes, unless I've missed something.

yes these are all options, terrible options

Most of the turners you listed haven't done anything meaningfully e46 related in years, I think one of these tuners knowledge base is pretty much just consolidated forum knowledge

+1 for HTE Performance from Lebanon. Hassan is super responsive, helped me with a ton of questions related to my impending install of a CSL airbox, cams, and full exhaust system with no cats. (my car's registered out of CA) I don't even have all the parts yet as I'm still doing researching but he's been a great guide thus far and I haven't paid him a penny yet. I think PC and HTE are the two premier tuners currently for our level cars.

I'm getting ready to have my car tuned by HassanEido (HTE Performance) after countless recommendations on the forums and a personal friend.
