CSL Decklid Question

I'm fabricating a deck lid from sheet metal, I'm wondering if anyone that has a CSL decklid can measure the depth of the licenses plate recess above and below the license plate?

i have a Vorsteiner trunk whose dimensions i think are the same. Here are the measurements.

3/8 inch on the bottom
1 1/2 inch on top

I'm deleting the trim and relocating the lock cylinder from an E36 decklid I've had sitting around and figured I would just replicate the clean look of the CSl. I'll post some pictures when it's completed.
