This right here, rogue is low mid tier basura.

Funny people coveting dixis now, when it first came out the early adopters all abandoned them after the hype wore off. There isn't a ti exhaust produced in the world that sounds remotely good on e46 m3.

i just messaged Rogue about their equal length section 1 that they teased a few months ago and they said they're still on the fence about bringing it to production

seems like whoever is fabricating their exhausts is lagging tbh

Been sitting on my cash since December.

I've gone from being a fan of their company, to not wanting to run their parts at all.... in fact I was thinking earlier about how I should just cancel my order and ask for a refund.
I suspect it will be a year or so maybe 2 when they'll have a batch of Caliente again.

When I first did my exhaust on this car, I did it like I usually do all my cars... remove resonators and cats, and use a good muffler to keep decibels reasonable.

Well, it sounded like shit. Anything above 5K sounded great, but anything down low was raspy af.

So, after learning a bit more about this car, I realized the rasp is all make-or-break in section 1.

Section 2 has more to do with drone, it doesn't really effect the rasp much. The muffler/section 3 on our cars does little to nothing to change the pitch and noise of our exhaust, it's mostly just controlling volume at that point.

So... now I'm going to be running the resonated section 1, and resonated section 2 from Supersprint, back to the RE straight pipes.

It'll be loud, but I suspect it's going to sound great. I'll post a sound clip when I get it installed.

Did you get it all installed w/ a sound clip?

I actually think this is the best sounding M3 I have heard. Not sure of the exact exhaust setup though. I think he mentioned Castro Motorsport.

For power, full SSV1 tho it doesn’t sound great IMO.

For sound, I still can’t get over my old AP header, stock sec 1 and 2, and SS Race setup. Best setup I’ve run or heard aside from Bimmerworld Race, which sounded very similar but much louder.

    A Dave sighting

Larini, rd sport, remus have great tones and are a little different

    Larini Exhaust...

in addition or a great alternative... just OEM euro headers, euro cats (or high flow cats welded into stock section one), stock everything else.

Connecting pipes on Dixis mufflers were designed for OEM exhaust setups. So they're 60mm IIRC.

The tip sizes changed through the years with the later model Dixis exhausts having larger tips (70mm to 76mm) and non pie cut connection pipes.

Has there every been an equal length section 2? It fixed the S55 F8X cars so wonder how it would do on the S54.

If I can snag another one I will cut one of mine open and see if I can find a way to mass produce replicas or put the info on this forum for everyone to use. 2.5" though...
