My PY car came with "smoked" aftermarket front corner lights. I'd like to get them back to the stock look, but paying $150 from BMW for something that surely only cost them $5 each to make seems like a complete rip-off. There are a bunch of aftermarket brands, from depo to magneti-marelli - are any of them any good? Recommendations?

You want genuine BMW, MM or AL (automotive lighting). Most people's stock (original) lights are ALs from my experience, but AL and MM and maybe bosch? had an agreement to all make the lights iirc.

I buy/import a couple million bucks worth of lamps from them every year for my job. Was on the ticket to go meet with them at Automechanika Frankfurt this year before all this craziness started.
