Why Do People Use Non-BMW Roundels on Wheels?

My favorite is when I see something like LM reps with roundels.

In 2002 forum guys had a hard-on for ssr gt3s with roundels, my second favorite. Bonus points for alternate colored roundels. Extra bonus for cf vinyl roundels.

I don't get money from BMW for putting their logo in my car, hence I don't feel forced to advertise for them.

I thought about getting the anniversary logos for looks but the price was outrageous. So I will stick with the Titan7 machined Al caps that I got. Only subtle writing and matches the wheel color.

I have BBS centercaps on my e39 M5's RG-Rs because BMW centercaps don't fit-- and the RG-Rs are the functionally best wheel made for the car.

I found it looks weird if you put BMW center caps on aftermarket design.

I prefer the caps from higher end wheels. Plus I dont think bmw caps fit on all aftermarket wheels?
