2005 SMG - Tinny Rattle from the Back Half of the Car

I don't think the LCA metal bar can make this noise by itself -- it's total insulated from the two rubber bushings. Something else must have hit it, or something hit something and not the LCA.

The bar contacts the metal outside of the bushing, right? I'm guessing it must be coming from that, somehow. There is nothing coming in contact with the arms...I've checked a dozen times. Very peculiar.

UPDATE:

I replaced the OEM rear control arms with Eibach units, and the noise is totally gone.

im assuming there was some sort of binding going on with the inner bushing, which had been replaced and pressed into the control arm at some point.
