rusty residue around cyl 5 sparkplug... headgasket?

New question: is there a good way to remove the rusty residue/nastiness that is now sitting at the bottom of the sparkplug well? I assume I don't want any of that getting into the cylinder, so that seems tricky.

Blow it out with air if you are concerned about it, it'll be fine.
