Front Lower Fender Liner Removal - Track Car

Looks like I had the liner come loose and tires destroyed the front lower liner. For dedicated track use what is the impact on deleting the liner?

Would result in a lot of rubber thrown up into your bumper cover and fender. Better solution might be steering rack limiters from Turner or BW. I run 275's with very minor rubbing using the limiters.

Agreed I ordered a new liner.

The limiters wouldn't really work here as the rubbing only happens on track. Street driving is fine. Its when the left side is fully loaded compression brings the fender into the tire.

Really no impact other than less aero efficiency. The liners do help with drag.

You mention the liner came loose. I also see you’ve got aero (canard, etc.?).

I’m curious about why it came loose in the first place…does anyone using aero reinforce that portion of the body trim? Use different or additional fasteners?

The push pin rivets, while durable, might not be the best way to pinch the trim pieces together. From what I can tell there’s a fair amount of flexibility in that lower corner as a whole.

Fairly significant drag increase not having those.
