It's so easy to read the fuel remain in the left and right tank -- right should always more than left, otherwise this is the symptom of a dying pump/

Yep reading the fuel levels on both sides of the tank should give you a good clue as to whether the pump has failed or not: https://www.bmw-driver.net/threads/d...nctions.31204/

Can also use inpa to manually actuate the pump. If you pull the rear seat cushion up, its super easy to hear if the pump is running or not.
