At least it's cheap enough that you can put money aside for a new motor when your engine ingests part of the airbox.

And there it is - it probably would work fine besides some vac leaks, but I'd be scared of it crumbling and getting ingested.

This...and its likely not CF. Its some flimsy laminate or something. I'm certain its not CF since you'd need at least $200 in raw material to make it.

Where are all the m3forum OGs? This could be the new ARH thread.

That air filter attachment seems sketchy at best.

I had that exact same thought. Probably similar to a deer whistle, is what I'm thinkin.

Fitment will be problem number one. Those pictures are at least 6 years old. Who knows how old the box is or if it's used. It popped up on eBay years back and I thought it was stupid then. Then, it is most likely something else cover in one layer of carbon fiber. Who knows how true to the pictures are to the box you get sent. They may not even be selling anything, it could just be a scam. 1 sold after 6 years.... nope. There is nothing that says, "this is worth $700 worth of my labor". I'd not even both trying it for free for the simple fact it may crumble to pieces.
