Help, can someone please measure their rear diff bushings?

Could someone in the process of swapping their rear diff bushings please help me with the bushing overall dimensions (see pic)

So ….long story short, my rear diff bushings crapped out (They completely disintegrated) in a parking garage at my work’s offsite facility about 3 hrs from home. Cant make a turn without the diff bouncing around. I have a lathe and plenty of aluminum bar stock here, I want to bring my car back and can make some inserts to get me by on the drive back home. I don’t want to drive it like that, towing charges are insane and I don’t want / probably won’t be allowed (by security) to remove the diff in a parking garage without access to all my tools.

looking at the front bushing it looks like it’s OK and not broken. The two rear ones are all crapped out. I have a very good feeling about me being able to pull out the pieces and clean it up a bit after removing the E14’s.
I have access to a lathe and plenty of aluminum bar, I’m just wanting to make some solid bushings (slightly undersized for ease of installation to get me by on the drive home , once home I can fully remove the diff and do a proper job. I also don’t want to spend $100 on bushings I’m going to likely ruin trying to shave them down a bit to get them to go in easier without properly pressing them in correctly (and if I order they probably won’t get here in time before I leave in a couple of days)

im actually in the process of sourcing the rack and piñon and all the seals/shims necessary for a 4.10 change. At that point I was planing on changing the rear cover and front bushings with oem.

That's an E36 bushing btw. E46 ones are slightly longer, though don't know how much.

Thanks for the dimensions, but I’m really looking for an e46 m3 bushing…do you k ow of the diameters of the e36 bushings is the same as e-46 m3?. I’m not sure the dimensions would match up to mine. It’s my understanding that even non-m e46’s use different bushing.

They are (except for the aforementioned length). Common substitute on E46 M3s as they're waay cheaper than the entire diff cover.

Those pics are from when I took dimensions the other day to get some parts made that will (hopefully) allow me to swap the bushings in place. That bushing is going on my car.

Great! Thanks again for the help! Learn something new everyday! Didn’t know about the e36 bushings…..not really looking forward to spending $250 on a new cover so may look into those as long term solutions once I have the diff out at home! I’m the meantime I’ll make me a couple of 50mm od x 13mm id aluminum bushings to get my car home lol 😂. I’m actually a little exited to see how the aluminum bushings sound lol….heard mixed reviews on the nvh these cause….some say it sounds like straight cut gear race car tranny….other say it sounds like your car is falling appart…..we shall see! Haaaa

The E36 bushings are supposedly a bit softer though, but also like $9 a piece
