Engine Bay Positive Battery Terminal Relocation

Found a guide from BMW on how to invert the Positive battery terminal in the engine bay so it does not interfere with the strut tower brace. Has anyone done this? Found a write up on E46 Fanatics but all the pictures are MIA.

I'd love to see some pictures of what the finished product looks like vs sketch drawings. I am having a hard time figuring out how this works and would appreciate any pointers. Full BMW PDF for the M Performance Strut Tower Brace install attached for reference.

Anyone know how this fastener is removed? It's not jumping out at me...

Appears to be a rubber grommet of sorts. Pry off would be my guess based on the diagram and reviewing the part. Diagram from realoem:

Slide # 3 up and it will release the plastic locating bolt.

Hey guys just came across this thread and wanted to link a similar thread where (starting around post 34) I went in and documented the whole process with lots of pictures. Let me know if you need more!

Ordered my strut brace today and was getting the DIY research out of the way. Found this installation .pdf and figured I'd post it up. Pics will be added after the install. 273

Had to do this as well with my cf performance brace. It's definitely little wonky when all said and done but it's necessary
