    Turn off airbag light

I was forced to move my car while the passenger seat was out, and that kicked on my airbag light, now it's stuck on.

I read through a ton of threads, but most of them seem to be 5-10 years old, I'm wondering if there's a current easy solution.

I was never able to get Bimmerlink working on my E46, although it works on my E70.

Torque doesn't seem to be able to find the fault code.

The Schwaben / Foxwell tool will do it. Just did the same thing and had it cleared in two minutes. INPA will also do it.

Anyone recommend another way of resetting airbag light? Seems I set it off by replacing stocker with Cobra bucket seat and not disconnecting battery. I have an old-school Peake reader but it doesn't do airbag. The Schwaben tool probably most economical alternative to having INPA (my only PC is my work computer, also don't really trust myself messing around in there lol)

I never found a solution so I ordered the Foxwell thing, had it reset in 2 minutes.

I've used it a handful of times since then, so it's a nice tool to have.

You can download VMware Fusion for free (personal use), install Windows 11, and install INPA and other BMW tools. When you no longer need it, remove VMware.

BMW “PA Soft 1.4” scanner does this very easily. Use to be sold on eBay and even Amazon.

Any good scanner designed to work with BMWs will reset this light. Schwaben is a good tool, since it is essentially INPA engine with redesigned interface and a cable packaged into a compact form-factor.
