So, I wouldn't really say they're a knock of Singer.

I'm just not sure who this is marketed to...as this entire package is mostly end game gear. This is geared for the folks who already have CSL intake, suspension setup, big 3, blah blah blah...but do they actually want this? I don't know...I don't think so. Most of those folks are going to spend the extra money and go with a brand with higher perceived quality.
Not sure if any new owners like myself are going to drop this type of money on a $12k bodykit without doing CF roof and CSL trunk first. In any hobby, I would say we are all poor judge of allocating resources properly, but buying this kit would be a gross misuse of those funds imo unless each part has some blow hidden somewhere.

it plays off the design of their wheels well enough, as it basically looks like a horizontal split spoke to me. but then again, I agree that the angles and lines of the wheels don't match the rest of the car as well as a BBS CH or GT4. I love the way my EC7s look because the concavity of the spokes basically create one constant radius with the fenders.
but whatever, to each their own. I think it looks good on the whole, just not what I would choose as my ideal design.

Smoking tire just did one of their reviews on the car. To be fair it seemed like more of a review of the ohlins, brembos, supersprint race, smg, diff, and airbox as Zach says he couldn't really tell the weight difference // or get much into the visual differences or his opinions this kit makes to the car.
While I do appreciate Vorsteiner bringing more attention and life to the chassis - I personally am not a fan of the new pieces. They all add a more modern take that just doesn't sit quite right with me.
Thought this thread would be a good place for it.

And they/Guntherwerks are a restomod company which I think this does a good job at, so props to them. It's just weird seeing the E46 M3 "restomodded" in general. I just wonder who is the marketed towards and who will actually purchase these and put them on their M3? I honestly feel like the people into this look are driving turbocharged M cars.
It is interesting to see one reviewed though, since besides the bodykit the performance mods are pretty cookie cutter on this forum. I doubt it weighs much less than stock with the sunroof and rear seat still in there + it's an SMG so that's another however many pounds. Are the wheels 18s or 19s?

From this video, sounds like Zack's car is set up pretty poorly, at least for street use (including canyons). In general, he's misattributing a lot of things. His car has shitty steering feel and twitchy steering because of the 275s up front. Similarly, this car was bouncy/harsh on the highway because of the 19s/20s.

275s up front? Is it 275 square? Could definitely benefit from downsizing. He does agree on what 99% of this forum already says about airbox/exhaust combos - quieter the better so you can hear the induction noise.

I have the OG Vorsteiner CSL bumper. I’m not sure if they made a new mould so this may not apply, However, they wouldn’t bother helping me replace the flipper that flew off on the freeway, so I’d imagine they started fresh. I didn’t have the flipper screwed in properly though it was a snug fit so no fault on them.
Anyway, there’s no gap between the fender as was previously pointed out in the photos. It fits really well but seems like it’s shifted ever so slightly to one side. I think I would just need to open up the bolt holes a little to adjust but hasn’t bothered me enough. Note my fender is damaged so that may play a part here as well.
The CF flippers were good quality but the outside corners where it meets the bumper was cut really sloppy. I replaced them with Mile End which were way better. The bumper slot was too narrow for the ME flippers so I guess Vorsteiner opted to do some trimming to the flippers instead of the bumper.
Edit: forgot to mention the original mesh grill doesn’t fit without trimming the tabs a little. It doesn’t quite clip on and stay.
I also have their Carbon Fiber roof from previous owner. It’s been on for over 10 years and starting to show its age, mostly parked outside but a few years I had it garaged. There are small cracks all throughout the lacquer. I tried to have it fixed once but it didn’t help. I think a specialist might be needed.
I’d say the parts are quality overall and would recommend them but don’t have experience with other parts to say If it’s worth a premium cost over others. Just be sure to protect your carbon especially a bonded roof.
sorry for the crappy cropped pics. I’ll dig up some better ones later3 PhotosLast edited by inline.6; 02-12-2024, 04:36 PM.

The E46 is more of a smooth, curvy design which doesn't really allow the side vent to work without looking out of place or drawing attention to that location.
