I like the build process more than the drive. Next up is finishing my Mercedes chassis swap (190e DTM body grafted onto a 2014 CLA45 AMG)

Fair enough, I know a few people like that! Very cool 190 build.

Added an AMG to the collection. So I have a cool sports car from three German manufacturers now - E46 M3, 981 Cayman GTS, and W205 C43 AMG.

My, now gone, W204 C63 AMG with the M156 V8 was fun (only 24k miles when I got it), but.... that transmission was not sporty even in manual mode. The DCT from BMW shined the light on just how bad it was. I've never driven the C43, but I've got a soft spot for AMG sedans, well at least the older ones.

Yeah I’ve heard the trans on the W204 C63 was meh. The W205’s trans is pretty good IMO, but BMW’s DCT still feels quicker and more responsive. I was initially going to buy a W212 E class or F30 320/328, but I’m glad I went with a sportier car lol.

anytime I’m going to the canyons, I pick the m3. It’s just so much easier to drive. 997 has good mechanical feel, particularly with the shifting/clutch feel.

Hey all! Picked up a G87 M2 to go with old blue... . Love the contrast of these two cars and both very fun in different ways. Click image for larger version
