    Crank no start

So I filled up my tank with gas 2 days ago, drove the car fine. It always gave me a hard start first thing in the morning. 2nd crank and it starts up fine.. so today after work . Tried starting the car it cranks but don't even turn over like it wants to start, thinking a fuel issue maybe . No check engine light, I changed plugs and coils a few months back , when I did my vanos. Now on the way home got the car towed. When it's time to take it off the flat bed. The car started right up. Where should I start looking? The car starts up fine now.

Check for codes first. If no codes, then it sounds like a failing fuel pump.

Inpa looking at ews module error and status
I think it could be ews to dme synch issue
or signal from ignition switch to Dme is intermittent.

I'm going to do the fuel pump and filter. Since I bought the car about 8 years now, I never changed it. Is oem the only way?

Grab fuel pump from bimmerworld. They have Hella OE branded one for $99.

So I pulled the code through inpa. Got fuel pump relay. So it's a relay problem. Where is it located and where to buy a new one?

It's located in right side of the trunk just forward and up of the battery under the trunk covering (Black relay/EKP).

Does anyone have a pic of the mount the tow hook goes into, I'm trying to see if it's replaceable. Or have a part # for the mount?
