I'm interested in a 2005 manual all original with clean title, good condition paint, & 106k miles. Big caveat is big three have not been done. I will obviously have it inspected so forth, but I'm curious what the concensus is on it's worth?

sounds like the dream. if i had to do it over again, i'd go with '05-'06 factory manual. i think the whole big 3 is blown out of proportion...i would rather not have it done if it's not being done with the parts/kits I want. rust is a bigger factor for me. give me rust-free over big three anyday.Originally posted by Cronenberged View Post
It's a manual, paint seems to be in good condition as well.
also, the mileage seems perfect if you plan on driving it because it's beyond what a collector would want, but not many miles at all for someone who wants to fix it up and have a very nice street car.

I would, for the most part, agree. Not sure the big three are blown out of proportion, but that is just based on my own car. ugaexploder does make good points about rust, mileage, etc.Originally posted by ugaexploder View Post

100% this, I wouldn't give a shit about racp, rod bearings or vanos. It's like a fixer upper house to me, I don't want somebody else's shitty corner-cut work when i'd pimp it out myself with no expense spared vs someone's low budget approach.Originally posted by ugaexploder View Post

I would think 26 is a bit high for a decently clean 106k car. Has any other maintenance, the stuff that is harder to screw up, been done? Suspension, cooling, etc? 2005 is a plus, but I assume it's not a comp.
If you don't need the coupe, M Roadsters are a steal.Last edited by 01SG; 02-04-2024, 08:49 AM.

Number one is Concours - showroom conditionOriginally posted by Cronenberged View Post
I don't understand the numbers is that based on milage?
Number two is Excellent - it would take someone knowledgeable on the car to find flaws
Number three is Good - a casual observer would have trouble finding flaws
Number four is Fair - nice daily driver with flaws easily visibleOld, not obsolete.
