Vert roof clicking issue to worse

Hey folks, before I give up and bring it to a top guy - anyone have any experience with the clicking sound issue with your roof not working, going to fix it, taking the cover off the motor under the seat, then it stops working entirely?

As in no movement of the motor at all? Tried reseating the sensor and gear, putting the cover back on and now no movement at all. The buttons up front flashes red, when you press it it stops flashing entirely and still nothing happens. No sound of motor or any movement.

    Thank you

Wish I could help but if nobody here chimes in, I think you'll have more luck in the convertible subforum over at e46fanatics as the vast majority of active members here own coupes. I've found some nice and useful vert information there.

Hey thanks but the original issue was the common gear popping out of place which turned into nothing is moving at all now. I'm not sure how a new cover (though that is a good idea instead of the ziptie / pipe clamp method) will get the motor spinning again.

Thanks, plenty of stuff about the clicking issue but nothing about why it would stop working entirely. oh well
