Sub'd. I'd like to see the outcome. So Lang did all of the labor? If you don't mind, how much?

The last time I checked you can get a BMW reman S54 shortblock for about $14k. I think BMW is actually reasonably priced for reman units on major end items. Especially when you factor in the risk of something not going right.

In case we all didn't know, shocks, struts, alternators, water pumps, starters, and (I think) AC compressors - all have a limited lifetime warranty from BMW. There might be some other parts like a PS pumps.

Reman short block is 14k now?

That's wild, I'd just take that shit to my engine builder.

That's actually not that bad considering Lang's and Carbahn's rebuilds cost as much or more.

I just searched that warranty information since I have never seen it in writing:

WHAT BMW ORGINAL OEM PARTS ARE ELIGIBLE?
To receive lifetime limited parts warranty coverage, the retail consumer must have purchased any of the following eligible replacement BMW Original Parts on or after December 1, 1998:

        1. Shock Absorbers
        2. Strut Assemblies and Inserts
        3. Mufflers
        4. New and Remanufactured Starters
        5. New and Remanufactured Water Pumps
        6 New and Remanufactured Alternators

The lifetime limited parts warranty is currently restricted to this select group of parts and applies to both BMW cars and BMW SUVs.

Thanks for posting that! I thought AC compressors were on there...

It is somewhat of a PIA since you have to bring some diagnostic info to the parts dept so they can warranty the part.

I've completed the leakdown test hoping it would solve the mystery and tell my oil rings are bad, or my rod seal it shot, unfortunately, all it did was tell my the engine is good (Which I am very happy about, but I want to know where all the oil is going!!). Below are the leakdown numbers, so, given this, I am at a loss, what do I look at next?!

            1: 2%
            5: 1%
            3: 2%
            6: 2%
            2: 3%
            4: 3%

Dye and a black light is what I would do next. Go over the car, top and bottom, with the blacklight before you add the dye. Then add dye, drive hard, and inspect again. I think it is unlikely you're dumping that much oil and can't see with the human eye, nonetheless, I'd check.

Is the supercharger lubricated using its own oil or the engine oil?

If you take off the intake manifold, you should be able to check the back of the intake valves as well for any oil residue. On a factory engine, they should be clean.

Supercharger has its own stand alone oil system

Pretty sure you got Lang'd. That dude sure does have a habit of being overhyped and churning out crummy work.

This doesn’t prove anything, it means your compression ring is sealing, but doesn’t tell us anything about the oil scraper ring.

The next step would be to figure out exactly where the oil comes from.

Inspect the valves by removing the intake/sc, are the valves gummed up but the intake clean -> valve stem seals.
Valves gummed up, intake full of oil -> external source like ccv.
Valves clean, intake clean -> happens in the cylinder.

Also to add, check what your exhaust tail pipe looks like or even the headers if you remove section 1. Is it overly black? Oil residue? Is your oil turning black quickly? At this point, buy a good endoscope with side view to inspect the condition of the pistons, bores and valves on each cylinder. That'll give you more info on engine condition. Did you do leakdown with a warm or cold engine? Maybe try both to see the delta. Hopefully Lang can help you
