Guys, what are we doing wrong that some folks still don't know the rules? Please post in the Feedback forum. We need your help on this because apparently we're not getting it right.

if you already have a Haimus box and it seems ok then i dont see a reason to sell it for a Karb one

I can source the same products he does, lol. That carbon strut brace and that carbon subframe plate are all from a beautiful site called kleinanzeigen.de (the German version of eBay, if you will). Several of his products have blatant markups of at least $100.

He should have known that one-day people will see how much he's charging just for his little search service, if you will even call it that, and converted to a membership-based business model, i.e., Costco, pay XYZ amount per annum or every month and get access to all kinds of deals, that membership pays for his search services, but also, it's an upfront cost that everyone is aware of, such that no feels taken advantage of.

Hell, give me $75 and I will curate the best, most proper pieces for your m3 you've ever seen.

Though I have no beef with Matt, all of this is exactly what I said years ago and people paid no mind yet now they do which is weird.

I have never seen any rules. Or at least they aren't visible in the places I go. Also possible I haven't really cared enough to look.

I think most of us here e-know each other and kind of know the general etiquette and what are acceptable behaviors. When a loudmouth dipshit enters this forum they get weeded out pretty quickly. For the regulars here I don't think we need much moderation??? lol

In this case, all I saw was the guy got called out and then he got defensive. All he had to do was say...yeah, I charge money to curate parts for you. At that point, it ends the argument.

Been piecing together my Haimus groupbuy airbox to stumble on this post that this guy Matt is now going Karbonius... crazy times to flip like that but how does this forum feel about this, kinda hypocritical given he downplayed Karb? Might have to sell my Haimus i guess.

Generally, that's also most car enthusiasts...I've rarely heard or seen anyone shit on their own mods.

I think there are some people who have dealt with him and maybe had an unpleasant transaction or whatever...but I see nothing wrong with what he does in terms of jumping from product to product. Dude's like Billy Mays, if people don't see that, then it's because they don't want to see it.

Lmao one of the previous owners of my car painted the roof black and I have a CF sunroof panel too. I feel personally attacked!

Maybe you should look for the Lang Racing roof instead? Seems like 1/2 price of Karbonius and lighter.

I don't fault Matt for trying to make money, he's clearly trying to create a business, and the whole point of a business is to make money.

He was always friendly and easy to work with for the few items I purchased.

I must have missed the thread where people found out FCP was actually paying less for the items they were selling too.

Nah I’ve had the Karb roof since last August and just need to find time to install it. No other company makes a roof that’s equal in quality to Karb afaik, so that’s the only roof I’d recommend to anyone at this time. When are you going to make carbon roofs? 🤔

Ideally we try to make differents products vs those already available. It would be cool to get everything CF for the E46 M3 but couple problems on our side:

-molds take a lot of space, shop is small
-roof is a huge part to make, huge part to ship $$$
-JC is alone working in the shop, we can’t do too much parts at the same time

We love Karbonius & Slon CF work of art. I will buy a CF roof for my Silver E46 M3 in a near future and it will probably be a Lang Racing even if I would prefer a Karbonius. As long as the shape is good, I don’t mind about the weaves not being perfectly align cause I won’t leave CF exposed. I only want the weight saving and the look of a slicktop, I want the car to be the same color on every panels. Personnal preference. I had a Lang Racing CF roof 9 years ago on another track car and quality seems fine back than.

Also I am in Montreal, Canada and since IND is now the NA distributor, Karbonius prices makes no sense for us. It was cheaper to buy directly from Spain.

Something I personally want for my Silver M3 (and JC doesn’t want to make…) is a wider front end (bumper & fenders) for agressive front fitment and better aero on track. Something like this:
