Can you use plastilube on caliper guide pins?

Can you use plastilube on caliper guide pins? It says not to use on rubber parts?

I'm a believer of keeping the pins clean and sliding without pastes. Any lube picks up brake dust and road grit - all of which abrade and contribute to binding. I have always found any pastes/lube generally chase a problem that doesn't exist with my brakes. Then again, I am pulling pins and inspecting them more than 98% of others.

Note: I use brass bushings on my street and track M3s.

It’s not really about belief, it’s the way it was designed.

ATE brake system calls for no lube on the pins, they go in clean and dry.
Our guide pins are open on the caliper side, sand will get in and stick to the grease…

People are used to Bosch brake systems where the pin is inside a sealed booth in a blind hole, those you should lube.

No Plastilube on the pins inside rubber bushings. I use Toyota lithium soap grease, no problems.

I use silicone paste. Never had an issue. It's safe on all rubbers and plastics, except silicone

            Is this essentially dielectric grease?
