    For the wheel experts

Hello everyone, Im interested on the new Apex wheels, the
    ML-10 RT for my E46 M3.
As of now I’m running OEM brakes.
My plan is to buy a new set of wheels and install BBK.
Apex doesn’t have to many options on their wheels spec.
    Would a
    19x9.5 et22 and a 19x10.5 et 45 works?
Will I have enough clearance for the bbk?
also how about the lip? I don’t like small wheel lips.
You can’ tell I don’t know much on how the off sets works lol…

Make sure it fits. See our detailed guide with square & staggered fitments for your 2001-2006 BMW E46 M3. View photos of street & track setups.

These wheels aren't out yet. You'll have to talk to Apex about the caliper clearance and lip size. These wheels probably do not have great brake clearance.

You almost have your offsets reversed. You generally want something above 35mm in the front and below 27mm in the rear.

19x10.5 ET45 doesn't make sense for the rear, you're going to want something more like ET25 or 20 depending on your alignment and desired look.

          10.5" should be et20 or 22
9.5"et35 with a small enough spacer (if needed) for brake clearance is better (scrub radius) than 9.5"et22 (no spacer), plus looks better (not too much poke) plus preserves your paint (less poke).

The biggest variables that haven't been mentioned yet are your ride height and camber settings. If are running a more aggressive front negative camber setting you will need the lower offset front. I tend to lean on the aggressive side fitment-wise (which always gets a negative reaction on this forum) but I would suggest the 9.5 +22 and 10.5 +22 option, if your set on running staggered sized and have -3* or more negative camber up front. Also assuming you have rolled fenders and trimmed rear fenders.

            This is a 9.5 +20 10.5 +20 set up with 275/35 square, -3.4* front and -2.5* rear camber:

              I like 19x9et28 and 19x10et25

2 degrees up front and 1.8 degrees in the rear.

Thank you. I use a 10.5 square set with 265s for the track but this is my street set up.

                    I would personally do 19x9 +30, and 19x10 +25 given the choices.

                    But that's me.

There is now a long lost thread/post (believe it was on the roadfly forum) with Steve Dinan mentionion the ideal offsets for a stock control arm/bushing geometry E46 M3.

The closet setup Apex offers ( and its very close ) is 18x9.5 ET35 and 18x10 ET25

My current ARC8 set is this setup, and my pre-ordered ML10's are as well. If that post he described why wider isn't always better and why the 9.5/10 is ideal for the stock geometry suspension.

Man I wish you could find that post.

                              FWIW the Dinan wheels I have are 19x9.5 +45, and 19x10 +35
