What’s Up NAM3F?
For those of us who were around a zillion years ago, and rubbing two sticks to create fire and hunting woolly mammoths for meat instead of buying a grass fed beef steak from the supermarket, the time has FINALLY come. I finally get to post a what’s up post! The first M3 I’ve ever owned, that chapter is now closed after 18 years of ownership, and some 216,000 miles. Saying goodbye to an old war horse was tough, but a new war horse, one with twin turbos, is now pressed into service!
I just got this Saturday morning, I bought a 2023 G82 M4. I caught the Amtrak out of Union Train Station in the LAX Airport vicinity at 10:00 pm on a Friday night, arrived in Tucson, AZ at 7:30 am on Saturday morning, got picked up by a Tucson BMW Dealership sales-staff member, and by 11:00 am, all paperwork was completed, and I was headed back to Orange County in sunny Southern California. So, here is my “new” used car, a 2023 G82 M4 with a carbon roof and a good-old 6 speed manual transmission. My “New Blue Bomber” had 11,300 miles on the clock when I bought her. She is a beauty, at least in the eye of this beholder.
Well fellas, I don’t hang around on this forum much anymore like I used to. Since NAM3F was born from the ashes of old M3F way-way back in the day when the E46 M3 first hit the market, that was a great place to hang out and burn time with other gear head nerds who had 10w-60 weight motor oil coursing through their circulatory system. Alright fellas, you be good, be good to one another, and who knows, we might cross paths again one day. This is Speed Monkey, signing off….
