The V2 is a fairly solid unit. The machining of metal fittings is better than all the other aftermarket airboxes and the filter fitment is excellent. The design is kinda meh, especially the tight clearance with the strut brace and the poorly thought out hinge for the unfiltered section, but for 1600ish, it is a good airbox.

Every time I start to get airbox-curious I circle back to it not being worth the hassle for me with CA smog being what it is, same with headers.

It certainly helps that I've never experienced one in the flesh, but when the time comes I'll be going Eventuri, and if I want to ratchet it up a notch there's the sound generator elbow that the guy in Germany makes. No WHP gains but at least I can be jealous while getting a taste of the howl.

Does anyone here have a CSL bumper and the Turner box? Did you just leave it as is, or fabricated some ducting from the CSL bumper opening?
I'm considering getting this box, but I also plan to get a CSL replica bumper at some point, which the savings vs Karbonius would help me get.

I have a Karbonius race airbox but I use the CSL intake tube that would normally connect to the snorkel.

For the Turner airbox, most people tend to leave it as is. I have seen a few track cars run a dual brake duct tubing into the mouth of the intake, but it is very race car and doesn't look good. If you are planning on running a CSL bumper with the primary intake duct, get an airbox that can accept the snorkel piece. You'll be able to take advantage of the ram air effect by having the bumper and primary intake duct.

Well, I'd love to, but the cost of Karbonius box plus snorkel plus accessories seems too far for me.

Geoff Steel airbox includes a snorkel too for about US$300 more than the TMS box GB price. I know the finish is racecar quality and apparently, one needs to drill holes upon installation, but I'm contemplating that as an alternative to TMS box if not going with Karbonius.

I too am on the fence about a CSL air box. I want it but it seems crazy that this will cost about 10%+ of the car’s value. Although I hope it will fix two major issues I have with the car is lack of sound and lack of power. (I’m in Denver so I’m down 60hp at the start of the hills).

The group buy is definitely a good discount. The challenge is you're still paying $1500, a lot of money to not be totally happy with the outcome. Karb is what, $2200?

My brain is telling me "buy once cry once", but we'll see if I get impulsive in the last days of the GB.
