If anyone needs a new crank sensor or you just want to stash one for the future, rockauto is having a close out on the Standard Motor Products PC576. It’s an OEM sensor, complete with BMW logo stamped on it, just comes in a different box. FCP Euro sells the OEM sensor for $160. So it’s not a bad deal.

I have not heard a case of these crank sensor going bad. No semiconductor chip inside but just some fine copper coils so it's very reliable vs the non-M Hall sensor type.Comment

The sensor itself, sure. But the wiring from the sensor on my car was in horrible shape when I rebuilt the engine. I'm not trying to sell anyone on this, just providing a resource for an OEM sensor if needed.Originally posted by sapote View Post

Who actually make the original sensor?
