If I was on the east coast I'd be there!

BMW STEP 2003/2004 these were our "test" cars, shot on an old budget digital camera, lol We were all a bunch of kids, we had no idea this was the golden era lineup for BMW. A few of us came in on a Saturday to clean the shop and wash cars, the instructors then told us about launch and burnout mode in the SMG M3 and let us take turns destroying the tires in the parking lot, ha.

Pretty crazy that we don't have our own version of that on the west coast... unless I just haven't been invited to it yet 👀

I think Cars and Coffee has killed many make/model specific meet ups.

I wish I had more old photos. I had a hard drive crash on me years ago that had all my pictures.

The BMW that started it for me was the 2005 ZHP. I couldn’t afford the real M car at the time but the ZHP ended up being better than I could have hoped. Miss that car.

A couple years later I found a great deal on a 2003.5 silver gray smg M3. Kept this one for a couple years and sold it in 2009.
I went through a few M cars after that but 15 years after letting the e46 go I found my way back into one.

I showed up a little late to the party, first M3 was an ‘06 purchased in ‘12. It was my first car with under 100k miles. I think I made it 3 weeks before jumping in to the MSS54HP disassembly project. Guess not too much has changed.
