    the price? $2,000

for a new gloss black trim.... yes 2 grand !

    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/51717030845/

left the car outside in 90+ degree for a few days and that was the final nail in the coffin for the rear window weatherstripping.....

These cars are getting too old and replacement parts are priced like gold. I think this part was about $500 several years ago !

wish BMW sold the seal separately. im going to have to figure out a way to replace the seal....

In the US, non-M non-ZHPs got chrome trim. ZHPs got gloss black trim. M3s got matte black.

In Canada, I believe M3s got gloss black. And in the rest of the world, gloss black was a paid option.

my E92 has gloss black but the rear glass doesnt open and close and the outside trim is metal so they fixed this issue for sure...

I remember someone on M3F fixed the rear weatherstripping on the E46 with so seals from local parts store. anyone remember the details?

Shit, I scratched my driver's side piece up a bit when doing the rear quater window rubber. Need to be more careful or it will really cost me!

I hope when the E46 moves under BMW Classic's range they will be more proactive about the weird parts like trim and accessories. But if the E30 is any evidence, we're all going to be hunting for NOS...

What do you mean by rubber seal? It does include the “seal” that is glued to the part and goes down the curve. However, the rubber trim on the body of the car (under the rear window) is not included, and costs about 50$ per side

the finisher trim doesn’t have a seal. The rubber is pure ply cosmetic. The actual seal is a D shape that sits inside of the window. The cosmetic one can be repaired. Link is above or in the DIY sticky.
