    STOPTECH ST60 & ST40 Parts Info

    Hey All,

I am creating this thread for all of us who have STOPTECH brake systems and to have the info and suggestions from community members in one place.

I have the Black Stoptech ST60 355MM Front & ST40 355M Rear Big Brake Kit on my E46 M3 and have been having a tough time sourcing some parts and getting in touch directly with STOPTECH. I used to have a dealer account with them and all my POCs are gone and I cant log in and cant contact any one so here are the parts and info I am looking for without having to take my brakes apart:

    Boots and Seals Kit:
Anyone know the Sizes for the pistons for ST60 and ST40 E46 M3 application specific, please post them up.
E46 M3 ST60 Piston Size for boot and seals kit

    Brake Pads:
ST60 Street Pads recommendation and if they can support the wear sensor that'll be a plus

ST40 Street Pads recommendation and if they can support the wear sensor that'll be a plus

    ST60 and ST40 Rotors:
As far as Rotors I have found two options and am leaning towards the Girodisc due to having direct contact with them and they being a breeze to deal with:
    https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_8689

    https://girodisc.com/355x32mm-replacement-rotor-rings-52mm-annulus/

Another choice is Stoptech's Aero rotors

    ST60 and ST40 Brake Lines:

    For ST60 Front: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/p...roducts_id=433

    For ST40 Rear https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=1059

    STOPTECH Logo for calipers:
ST60 and ST40 LOGO stencil, Any suggestions where to source these from? Will definitely need these before i do anything at all. Found these:
    https://www.projectb5.com/product/project-b5-stoptech-caliper-decals

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/144513720148?var=444244495460

Zeckhausen has a great section for STOPTECH parts: https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=24&osCsid=df7jt8588q9nmv8cjhli1amk 67

Appreciate all the help guys as shop is full so If i have the above correct parts in hand in advance I can just take the car in and have everything removed and run the calipers over for powder coating.

Any suggestions on what Caliper color might be OE+ on a JB M3 Coupe with Silver BBS LMs?

ST60 Front ST40 Rear “Trophy” kit piston sizes:

    ST60 Front:
    2x 36mm
    2x 34mm
    2x 28mm

    ST40 Rear:
    4x 28mm

A front-only kit will have different piston sizes than above.

For example my old (Gen4 ST40) front only kit had:

    2x 44mm
    2x 38mm

Thanks for that info. I am guessing i am going to have to remove the calipers and measure them as mine are the Non Trophy versions.

Weissgold is nice and would look subtle behind the LM's.

I've got a set of non trophy in the garage I should be able to measure the pistons for you tonight.

That color sounds good! I'll go check the samples one of these days and post up pics.

            Thanks that would be great.

Email David Zeckhausen. I think its david@zeckhausen.com. He might be able to ID the piston sizes without measuring them.

In the off-chance that your boots are still intact, it will have the piston size on them:

Ive got dust boots should you need them. I haven't rebuilt stoptech calipers in a long time but they use the brembo dust boots..

Zeckhausen is a phenomenal source regarding stoptech, especially since they've become less than stellar to deal with directly and parts supply has become extremely difficult.

For replacement seals and boots, i'd recommend looking at Girodisc, they also supply replacement rings for stoptech kits which are fantastic.
