Any M3 owners have a new Bronco?

This is were the Land Cruiser 250 shine, it's a very capable offroad vehicule and drive superb on road, especially for a body on frame. Way better than my previous 5th Gen 4Runner Limited

our family stable also has a 5g 4runner ORP and i thought it wasn't that bad on the street at all, but as soon as you throw an A/T tire on it (even a street friendly one like the KO2) all bets are off. our car has KDSS, Kings all around, and full sound deadening but i don't think any vehicle can make 50 pounds of chunky tire at each corner not feel unrefined. would love to be proven wrong tho

I do like the new L/C (hell my parents still have their 01 they bought new) but want something where the top goes down. Now if Toyota would only sell a l/c or 4runner based competitor to the Bronco that would be game over.

That video caused me to second guess and test drive the GX— only to not agree at all. Put a deposit on the 250 the next day.

Broncos are pretty common on turo, that'd be the most definitive way of finding out how much you can stand on a commute

I like the Bronco look, don't really know their options/specs. Apparently at the moment, there are deals to be had due to inventory conditions. I have a 2022 Tacoma SR that I'm "building" I guess. I'm partial to Toyota for various reasons, but love the body on frame for daily duty. Overland Tailor Tune helped immensely, as did some lighting upgrades. It's my dream M3 spec--slick top, manual cloth seats!

Our current Toyota fleet daily's are my built out 3x locked Amazon Green 200 on 35's and my wife's GX460 that I've snuck KINGS on and some 33's so it doesn't look like a minivan. The 460 seems to gear hunt a bit, but the LC 6spd doesn't have an issue, but I'm pushing it in the mountains

Our current Toyota fleet daily's are my built out 3x locked Amazon Green 200 on 35's and my wife's GX460 that I've snuck KINGS on and some 33's so it doesn't look like a minivan. The 460 seems to gear hunt a bit, but the LC 6spd doesn't have an issue, but I'm pushing it in the mountains

I also have a 2016 GX460 (no OTT--yet) that I agree, gear hunts a bit but it's drivable; my wife doesn't complain so I leave it alone. But on the Tacoma, absolutely OTT made a huge difference and I run the "mildest" tune as default and I guess the next step up with the ECT PWR button. The stock tune was terrible.

Just to expand on this a bit:
- Lexus is uglier
- Land Cruiser gets 50% better fuel economy
- Land Cruiser hybrid ev engine has full torque from ~idle— good for towing and off roading
- Land Cruiser has buttons, in areas the Lexus has touch screen (cancer)
- Land Cruiser hybrid system lets you use the battery/engine as a 2400v outlet, and I want to overland the thing— means you don’t have to carry a battery or propane stuff
- I like the Land Cruiser interior better
- Lexus has a worse approach angle
- specing each how I would want them, the Land Cruiser is $25,000 cheaper

Leaving the Lexus test drive, neither the wife nor I preferred anything about the Lexus. Didn't even notice the difference in engine, because... who cares in a body on frame SUV.

Jason's main complaint seems to be that part of the land cruiser identiy is effortless power. I think that's just wrong. That was the case for the last 2 LCs in the USA, but
- outside of the USA, those LCs got less effortless engine options
- prior to those two, the US spec land cruisers didn't have effortless power
- The prados never particularly had effortless power
- the 7X Land Cruisers have never had effortless power

Don't disagree with any of these points, but…the Lexus absolutely wins on exterior styling, but I'd still choose the LC for simplicity. cloth seats > anything else
Body on frame fun vehicle, I want to add everything I need/want. But 14mpg once a decent sized tire drives me to a low mileage v8
