Video Request: 95A poly differential bushings + solid aluminum subframe bushings?

Anyone have a video of the NVH with that set-up or can chime in on how loud the whine is?

I have both a set of 95A diff bushings AND a brand new OEM diff cover w/ bushings installed already + front bushing sitting in my garage and am trying to figure out which one to pair with my solid aluminum subframe bushings.

Found this video and it whine seems fairly minimal/acceptable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WAN...l=WillBoehland

This video shows solid diff bushings paired with 90A subframe bushings and it is way too loud for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qquD...voodooresource

    Thanks in advance

I don't have a video but honestly wouldn't chance it with the poly's. I see A LOT of posts from people regretting they went poly via forums, reddit, and facebook groups. If your application is track related perhaps it's a different story.

I have CMP solid diff bushings with AKG 95a poly diff bushings and it's all about preference ...yes, there is significant noticeable diff whine with the bushings. I'll have some videos up shortly but, long story short it's not that bad for a weekend warrior. If the car was a daily driver then the diff whine could be annoying to some.

With that said...I have a loud exhaust with stiffer engine mounts, chatter from a lightweight flywheel, loud exhaust, etc etc...and I love it all! LOL

If this is a street car I would not use solid bushings or anything harder than OEM otherwise the whine will be nearly unbearable. Mine is a track car (with a partially stripped interior) and when I am driving to / from the track or shop I need to wear hearing protection. On the track is not a problem as my helmet cancels 90% of the whine.

Solid subframe bushings don’t add any noticeable NVH, I don't know why BMW didn’t use them from factory, it would have reduced subframe carrier panel cracking. NVH comes from drivetrain and suspension bushings being too stiff.

I'm not concerned about the subframe bushings - just the poly diff bushings

Yeah, my rear interior is stripped out too and caged so I'm leaning towards the OEM solution

I have AKG 95a diff with solid SF and spherical RTAB conversion. With interior out there is a slight whine/hum but with the interior back in, you can’t tell if it’s stock.

Another point of reference but all poly was fine in my ZHP with an M3 diff/subframe. Yes, it was louder than stock but not that bad. I drove the car daily with a hefty commute.

IMO, solid subframe and OEM diff has more NVH than stock too. However , it's much less than poly/poly. This is what's in my M3 that doesn't get driven much. I like this combo better.

                  YMMV.
