Going to buy a tune, help me with a good “while you are tuning” checklist

Thanks - this will be my first time remote tuning, so some FNG questions. Does he provide the wide band sensor? If not what is the downside other than buying one and plugging it in? Do you have to drive around for an extended period of time with a laptop? I would think I could do this to get the maximum benefit.

Like your comments on the emissions stuff, I agree I’m not scraping for every ounce of weight savings.

Ok, if it were me, I wound't necessarily turn off the emissions stuff becuase you CAN pass smog with euro parts. That's if you don't wanna reflash every smog time.

I would turn off EGT and cap the bung (smog doesn't need to see that in order to pass)

I wouldn't bother with EWS

Maybe hard braking (outer rings) and euro hazards (can't remember if it was euro or something else, but diferent flash pattern to catch attention).

But more importnat than that, HOW are you tuning? On a dyno, just a canned tune, or are you willing to put an AEM wideband into a bung to give Hassan your AFRs?

I don't get why so often people want to turn off EGT? Just why disabling a safety system which also protect you valves (and cats if you still have them)? I don't see a single benefit of disabling this

less weight (haha), one less plug. Sell the sensor for $ or preserve it from getting heat cycled.
The cats aren't that close to the block, though yes at times I was catless as well.
