Maintenance intervals for a low mileage car

Besides changing oil every year, what other maintenance items are critical to do by time regardless of miles?

• Brake/clutch fluid change - every 2 years or 25K mi
• Coolant flush - every 4 years or 25K mi

How far can I stretch those out without concern if I'm scaling back to only driving ~500mi/year for the time being?

Anything else missing?

Brake fluid maybe not so much stretch; I'd say 3yrs max at low mileage. Coolant, maybe 5yrs since heat degrades coolant but at 4 or 5yrs, that a big deal in the grand scheme of things? Just change it IMO.

No need to change oil every year. Oil goes bad from driving, not age. Clean oil in the engine is good for many years.

I just change those 3 every 3 years regardless of mileage, which is always less than 5k. If it’s an SMG car I’ve been doing Pentosin and diff fluid every 6 years again regardless of mileage. Don’t worry, your pinion seals will be leaking by then so you’ll need diff fluid anyway. Other than said leaking pinion seals I’ve seen no ill effects, and mine is a SoFL car sitting in a hot garage under a factory cover.

The bigger issue will be the leather shrinking and separating at the seat seams, so be sure to soak that at every opportunity.

GL. These cars don’t sit or age well. Drive it as much as you can now.
