And if the shop is so insistent on removing the studs, what if you installed them with red loctite? Are they going to spend the extra time with a torch removing them, and make you pay for that extra labour?
I have 70 mm wheel studs so the standard lug wrench isn't deep enough. I keep a 1/2" ratchet (it's enough to get the wheel off as long as it's properly torqued) and a deep 17 mm socket in my car in case of a blowout. Both of those items fit in the cubby right above the NAV computer in the left compartment of the trunk.
